U.S. Credit Rating Reduced – I Told You So
by Robert J. Barrucco Sr. on 08/05/11
Sorry folks. I just couldn’t resist. If you go to my August 1st commentary you will see that I stated that raising the debt ceiling was not going to save our credit rating. It’s the spending that has to not only be stopped but be reversed.
Obama is such an arrogant thug, that he refuses to acknowledge that anything is his fault. Remember this, regardless of anything you hear, he spent 4 trillion dollars in the two and a half years he’s in office. Bush started the wild spending spree but Obama, in two and a half years, spent three times what Bush in 8 years. If Obama hadn’t spent the 4 trillion dollars, the rating wouldn’t have gone down. It’s that simple.
The Debt Ceiling Compromise
by Robert J. Barrucco Sr. on 08/04/11
There’s no doubt in my mind that some Republican congressmen(women) will be going home after the November 2012 election due to this shameful Debt Ceiling compromise.
Not only did they not stop the spending, the 2 trillion in cuts over 10 years is disgraceful.
Furthermore, the worst failure of all is that the Republicans allowed Obama to escape having to defend his overspending during the November 2012 election. The new debt ceiling law sets the debt ceiling until AFTER THE ELECTION.
Shame on you, Republican congress people.
The Debt Ceiling
by Robert J. Barrucco Sr. on 08/01/11
The Congressional Democrats and some Congressional Republicans keep saying that America’s credit rating will go down if we don’t increase the debt ceiling and increase the national debt.
Here’s what I just heard: If America becomes fiscally responsible and cuts the spending and reduces the national debt, the credit agencies will reduce our credit rating.
Does this sound rational to anyone?
Another stimulus?
by Robert J. Barrucco Sr. on 06/14/11
Robert Reich, Former Clinton Labor Secretary, was on the ABC show “This Week” on Sunday. The discussion was the economy. Being a good Democrat, argued that what is needed is more “stimulus.” His argument is that if you put money into the hands of people, they will spend it and the economy will grow. Sound familiar? It’s the same argument used when they created the almost one TRILLION dollar stimulus bill. It’s amazing how the Democrats can keep pushing their Keynesian economics in the face of the Titanic-like results of the first stimulus. Furthermore, it has never worked. To know this, one needs only to look at the Great Depression and FDR’s massive government programs and their total failure to turn the economy.
However, this has been debated ad nauseum. My point is different. I’ve never heard any Republican, Conservative or Libertarian ever turn the argument on these morons. No one ever points out that when the government puts money into the pockets of people who didn’t earn it, they are taking it out of the pockets of people who earned it. Now please pay attention. I’m not talking about the slavery of socialism here. I’m just pointing out that one group gets the money and spends it. The other group has had the money taken away from them and therefore can’t spend it. Isn’t this what we call a “wash?” I see no gain in this. The whole thing sounds like just another Marxist (Democrat) scheme for redistribution of the wealth. My argument may be a slight oversimplification, but I don’t believe I miss the mark by much. Most important, it stops the spending in its tracks and stops the Democrats from lying to the people (at least about the stimulus).
Anthony Weiner: Democrat
by Robert J. Barrucco Sr. on 06/06/11
To be sure, Anthony Weiner’s Twitter escapades are despicable. However, I am just as appalled at his behavior over the last several days. I have often commented about Weiner’s arrogance and intellectual socialist dishonesty. This is a typically Democrat mannerism. They try to misdirect the questions and not answer anything directly. To describe Democrat politics I a word: Stealth. Never let the public know the entire truth. Why? Their positions are almost always indefensible. They hide their true intentions with creative phrases. For example, they describe their wild spending of the people’s tax dollars as “investments.” Illegal aliens are “Undocumented workers.” Americans have “shared responsibilities” (a cloaked reference to their socialist agenda). Today he tried to excuse his arrogant lying of the last several days by saying that he was embarrassed and trying to protect his family. This guy just doesn’t get it. People protect their families by not doing bad things in the first place. Understand this. Some Weiner defenders are saying that everybody makes mistakes. This is NOT A MISTAKE. It was done many times and it is just simply bad behavior by an immoral, arrogant man. America deserves more from its elected officials. At a minimum Congressmen and women take an oath to defend the Constitution. These Democrats are doing the opposite. That is to say that they are doing everything in their power to circumvent, rather than defend, the Constitution. Weiner and many of his Democrat cohorts like, Barney Frank and Charlie Rangel, is not such a person. His behavior with the Twitter escapades and the subsequent double talking denials demonstrate this. He stated that he accepts the responsibility for his actions but that he would NOT be resigning from his office. Mr. Weiner, accepting responsibility for one’s actions involves paying a price. What price are you paying? Embarrassment when getting caught is certainly not enough. Please man up and resign. A brief description of this Congressman would have to be: ‘Anthony Weiner: Democrat.’
